Discoverer of the forgotten

Father Albert Koch

As recently as a few years ago the Appenzeller Goat was near extinction. An animal that had already fascinated Albert Koch in his childhood. Against the norm of that time, to firstly farm cows, he specialised, on the inherited farm of his parents in the 70’s, completely in farming goats. Not only the love towards the animal, but also the conviction to save something that almost was lost, motivated him to take the courageous step.

Full of passion, innovation and heart, Albert and his wife Vreni were again able to reach society and out past the swiss borders with their goat products. Milk, cheese, body care products and sweets were great favorites and so made possible further development of their assortments. Even today his passion burns within to create new products; we are excited to see what delicacies the future holds for the Koch household.
